THE HAMPTON HOUSE
Project
THE HAMPTON HOUSE
This residence is designed in a Minimalist American Classic style, blending timeless architectural proportions with a clean and contemporary expression suited to the tropical setting of Jakarta. Classic elements such as arched openings, symmetrical massing, and a prominent entrance are refined through simple lines and restrained detailing, creating an elegant yet modern appearance. Large openings, high ceilings, and strong indoor–outdoor connections enhance natural light, ventilation, and comfort, while warm materials and neutral tones add a sense of understated luxury. The result is a harmonious home that balances classic sophistication with modern livability.
This residence is conceived as a contemporary interpretation of American Classic architecture, refined through a minimalist approach to suit the tropical urban context of Jakarta. The design emphasizes timeless proportions, symmetry, and elegant detailing while maintaining clarity, openness, and functional simplicity.
The exterior composition showcases classic American architectural elements such as arched windows, columned portico, and balanced massing, presented in a clean and restrained manner. Ornamentation is intentionally reduced, allowing the architecture to feel light, modern, and relevant to its surroundings. A neutral color palette dominated by soft whites and warm natural tones reinforces the sense of understated elegance.
Responding to the tropical climate, the building is designed with generous openings, high ceilings, and strong visual connections to landscaped areas, promoting natural ventilation and daylight penetration. The lush greenery surrounding the house acts as a natural buffer, enhancing privacy while softening the architectural form.
The interior spaces reflect the same philosophy. The dining area, framed by tall arched glass panels, creates a seamless dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces. Warm wood accents, classic moldings, and carefully selected lighting fixtures evoke a sense of American classic luxury, while the spatial layout remains open, airy, and uncluttered—true to minimalist principles.
Overall, the design achieves a balance between classic sophistication and modern livability, offering a serene, elegant home that fits harmoniously within the residential fabric of Jakarta.
